Former Everton CEO, Keith Wyness, has confirmed his former club’s interest in Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho is on the verge of leaving Leicester City on a free transfer this summer.
The Nigeria international’s contract with the Foxes will expire at the end of June.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs within and outside England.
Wyness believed Iheanacho still have what it takes to thrive in the Premier League after spending one season with Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship.
“I think he can do a big job for Premier League sides, he’s someone I’d keep an eye on. I know Everton have been interested in him, and he’s got the ability to get a good move in the Premier League,” he told Football Insider
“But for Leicester, they will want to keep as much stability as possible. However, if you can’t reach agreements, then nothing can get done.”
