Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has revealed that Jose Peseiro’s side will approach their Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, clash against Ivory Coast with confidence.
DAILY POST reports that Nigeria will face the 2023 AFCON host on Thursday evening in their second Group A fixture.
The Super Eagles head to the game after playing a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in their last game on Sunday, while Ivory Coast defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-0.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after Nigeria’s draw with Equatorial Guinea, Iwobi said:
“Right now, we are going to rest and analyse the last game that they [Ivory Coast] played. Of course, they started very well but we don’t fear no one.
“We are going to go to the game with confidence and hopefully be able to get a result.”
