Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Jose Mourinho’s potential replacement at AS Roma.

Mourinho was sacked by Roma on Tuesday following a poor run of form with the team this season.

Roma have won just one out of their last six Serie A games and they currently sit in ninth position in the league.

In a tweet via his X account after Mourinho was dismissed, Romano disclosed that Roma have already contacted their former player Daniele de Rossi to take over as their new head coach.

“Contacts already taking place between AS Roma and Daniele de Rossi as potential new head coach,” Romano tweeted.

“De Rossi, keen on this possibility as he always had the dream to return to the club.

“Final decision expected soon.”
