Former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara has advised Arsenal to aggressively pursue Alexander Isak, emphasising the striker’s potential to elevate the club to Premier League glory.
Despite grappling with dual groin injuries this season, Isak’s stellar performance sees him as Newcastle’s leading scorer with 24 goals across all competitions.
Speculations swirl around Isak’s future, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly considering £100 million bids to entice the 24-year-old away from St James’ Park in the upcoming transfer window.
Manager Howe reiterates Isak’s non-availability for transfer, with Newcastle poised to offer him an enhanced contract to deter potential suitors.
Nevertheless, Isak remains a prime target for Arsenal, with O’Hara drawing comparisons between the Swedish sensation and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
O’Hara on Sky Sports News said: “I would go all out and try and sign Isak. He’s going to get you a Premier League title.”
Amidst uncertainty at Newcastle, O’Hara considered Isak the quintessential addition to Arsenal’s forward line, citing similarities to the iconic Henry.
While cautious of overstating Isak’s prowess, O’Hara asserted: “He’s very much in the same ilk in the way he plays and everything he’s got.”
