Brentford have signed Nigerian defender Benjamin Frederick on a permanent contract.

Frederick joined the Bees from Kaduna based Simoiben Academy on a loan with a buy option last summer.

The London club have now decided to trigger the buy option, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

The contract will be valid until June, 2028.

The 18-year-old impressed during his one-year stint with Brentford’s B team.

Frederick featured for Nigeria’s U-20 side at the U-20 World Cup in Argentina last year.

The Flying Eagles reached the quarter-final stages, before exiting the competition with a 1-0 defeat to South Korea.
