Liverpool forward, Cody Gakpo, has admitted it would be “very very difficult” for them to win the Premier League title.

Gakpo was speaking after a 2-2 draw at West Ham on Saturday.

The Hammers took the lead through Jarrod Bowen, but the Red overturned it in the second half through Andy Robertson and an Alphonso Areola own goal.

However, Michail Antonio’s header ensured the points were shared.

Liverpool are now on 75 points, two less than leaders Arsenal, who play Tottenham on Sunday. They are also one behind Manchester City, who have two games in hand.

Gakpo was asked about their chances of still winning the title.

He replied: “We’re in a very, very difficult position.

“If Arsenal win it is five points and Man City have some games in hard.

“It is going to be difficult, not impossible, but very very difficult.”
