President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Gusau has visited injured Super Eagles duo, William Troost-Ekong and Zaidu Sanusi in Europe.

Troost-Ekong played through the pain to help the Super Eagles to second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The centre-back underwent surgery few days after the tournament.

The PAOK Salonica of Greece player has already returned to partial training and could still feature for his club before the end of the season.

Gusau held discussions with Troost-Ekong on the importance of the Super Eagles upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.

The NFF boss was also in Portugal to see how well Porto defender, Zaidu Sanusi, is recovering from his injury.

Sanusi sustained the injury while in action for his club after returning from AFCON duty.

It would be recalled that Gusau also visited another injured player, Moses Simon, in France last weekend.
