Niger Tornadoes interim head coach Majin Mohammed has urged his players to move on from their defeat to Akwa United.
The Ikon Allah Boys suffered a 4-1 defeat to their hosts on Wednesday.
Mohammed called on the players to focus on their next game against Doma United.
“We didn’t play to our full strength in Uyo and that contributed majorly to the outcome of the result,” he stated in his address to the players on Thursday.
“We were all disappointed with the midweek result because we have let down the expectations people have on us, but that is football; sometimes, things like this happen, the good thing however is, that the next game presents an opportunity for us to make amends and right the wrongs.”
“I want us to forget about the result and focus on the next game against Doma United which is a must-win for us.”
Niger Tornadoes will lock horns with the Savannah Tigers in a matchday 31 fixture at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, on Saturday.
The Minna side are 10th on the table with 39 points from 29 games.
