Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has ruled out the possibility of coaching the Super Eagles in the future.
Mikel retired from active football last year.
The 36-year-old enjoyed an illustrious career with the Super Eagles.
The former midfielder had represented Nigeria 91 times, with six goals to his name.
The former Chelsea midfielder hinted that he would prefer an administrative position.
“I will be involved with the national team at some point,” Mikel told CNN.
“But not as a coach, as I don’t want to get sacked (laughs). I can’t handle that. However, I would like to fix the problems from the top; maybe mediate between the players and the federation and make sure things are run properly.
“To me, success is not about what happened on the pitch but with the right structures from the top as well.”
