Manchester United will be without Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane for this weekend’s clash with Bournemouth.

The Premier League club confirmed this in a statement on Thursday.

Varane will be out for “the next few weeks” after sustaining a muscle injury against Chelsea.

Evans also has a muscle issue, but it is said to be “shorter-term”.

United are already without six senior defenders. Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are also injured.

With Evans and Varane joining them on the treatment table, Erik ten Hag faces a selection crisis.
