Former Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie believes the team will make a positive impact at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Randy Waldrum’s side earned a spot in the women’s football event after defeating African champions South Africa 1-0 on aggregate.
The West Africans will face world champions Spain, Japan and Brazil in Group C at the Olympic Games.
Despite the pedigree of the opposition in the group, Oparanozie is adamant the side will shine at the games.
“It’s a tough group, Spain are world champions, Japan were previous world champions and Brazil are a household name in the game,” Oparanozie said.
“But I believe in the team, we will do well at the Olympics, the girls will show what they are made up, they will make themselves proud.”
The Super Falcons will face Brazil in their first game at Paris 2024.
