The result moves Man City to joint-top with Liverpool on the Premier League table.

It has also put pressure on title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of their games on Saturday evening and Sunday, respectively

Pep Guardiola’s side moved up to second place in the Premier League table, and level on points with leaders Liverpool.

The Citizens are just behind the Reds on goal difference.

They now have 70 points from 31 games, while Liverpool have 70 points from 30 games and Arsenal, who sit in third position, have 68 points from 30 games.
