Super Eagles attacker, Terem Moffi has predicted Nigeria to beat Côte d’Ivoire when both teams clash in their second group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Moffi, who was recently added to Nigeria’s AFCON roster as a replacement for Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, also said that he felt sorry for Jeremie Boga because his Ivory Coast will suffer defeat against the Super Eagles.
DAILY POST reports that Moffi and Boga are club teammates at OGC Nice.
Speaking to Ligue 1’s YouTube page, Moffi said: “In the second round (group game) we play against Cote d’Ivoire, Jeremie Boga, so it will be really special.
“I always tell him they will lose at home to Nigeria. I feel sorry for them, for him.”
The kick off time for the Nigeria vs Ivory Coast tie is 6. pm, Nigerian time.
