Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon underwent a successful surgery on his fractured left leg on Friday, DAILY POST reports.
Simon sustained the injury in Nigeria’s 2-0 friendly defeat to the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday night.
The 28-year-old collided with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa in the first half and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
His French club, Nantes, revealed afterwards that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Simon is expected to begin his rehabilitation process after the surgery.
He has registered three goals and six assists for Nantes this season.
