Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, still dreams of joining Real Madrid one day, according to AS.
However, any potential move will be delayed by Kylian Mbappe’s imminent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Los Blancos as a free agent.
It is believed Haaland originally aimed to join the Spanish giants in 2025.
That is no longer the case, but the 23-year-old still wants to play for Real Madrid.
Haaland will use City’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Madrid, as the perfect opportunity to show his credentials for a future move.
The Norway striker played the full 90 minutes in both legs of last season’s semi-final against Carlo Ancelotti’s men, but didn’t score in either of them.
His current deal at the Etihad runs until 2027, but reportedly includes a release clause that would allow him to leave this summer.
Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is said to be planning for a similar clause to be a feature of any other deal so that he can join the LaLiga giants.
