Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry made a surprising admission, stating that Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe has already outdone him as a footballer.
Henry, who himself is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, heaped praise on Mbappe, calling him a “monster” and a representation of French football.
The former Barcelona striker also said that Mbappe’s talent has already taken him to the future, and that he will do well wherever he goes, amid rumors of the PSG star’s future destination.
Mbappe played a crucial role in France’s 2018 World Cup win, and has continued to impress at club level with PSG.
“Kylian will be good wherever he goes. We are talking about a monster here. Let’s be happy that he is French. Kylian, everyone envies us. Every time I am abroad, people say to me: ‘How lucky you French are to have a player like him’,” Henry told Le Parisien.
“He has already overtaken me! It’s already done. Kylian is already in the future and that is good anyway because it is France, it is our football and we need this guy who represents us kind of everywhere.”
