The “hope” and “optimism” of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ closing message was starkly contrasted with the “pessimism” and “grimness” being put forward by GOP nominee Donald Trump, on Monday’s episode of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

The show aired two montages of comments that Harris and Trump made over the weekend as the 2024 election heads into its final hours.

Harris “delivers the message that I think Americans want, which is, ‘Let’s come together, I’m going to be president for all Americans.’ She’s done this for quite some time,” co-host Joe Scarborough noted.

Trump, though, said Scarborough, “talked about America being horrible,” lied yet again about his 2020 election defeat, repeated his “father of IVF” untruth and “then he did a graphic scene, like he was having oral sex with the microphone.”

“Oh my God,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski.

All Trump’s lies were “stunning,” said Scarborough. “I don’t know that I’ve ever seen as much contrast in a closing message.”
