Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro has sued for peace over the festering crisis in the Benue State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The crisis had erupted after the party’s congress.
Moro, in a statement on Tuesday by his Media Adviser, Mr Emmanuel John, urged members of the PDP in Benue to tone down on violent rhetorics that are capable of further polarizing the party.
“Sen. Moro charges members to be tolerant of one another, no matter the differences and appeals to all aggrieved persons to sheathe their swords and allow for robust discussions that will unify the party.
“He says leaders of the party in the state are working tirelessly towards resolving all teething issues in the aftermath of the party’s congresses with a view to addressing all grievances and restoring lasting peace.
“Sen. Moro said PDP remains the only credible alternative to the ruling party which has brought so much pains on Nigerians, and assures that the party will bounce back stronger and better, to reclaim its winning ways and provide the needed leadership, a new and better for the suffering masses.”
