The All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated candidates of the party in the local government polls conducted by the Benue Independent Electoral Commission, BSIEC, on Saturday.
Chairman of the Benue chapter of the party, Comrade Austin Agada, congratulated the candidates on their resounding victories.
This was contained in a statement released on Sunday by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Daniel Ihomum.
Agada said the result of the polls shows how well-established, well-liked and widely accepted the APC is in Benue State.
“The party congratulates all members in the state and dedicates this victory to God and all of the people of Benue State, regardless of their political allegiance,” the statement said.
Agada noted that the victory in the local council polls will mark the beginning of developmental activities at the third tier of government in the state.
“The APC in Benue State will continue to champion the cause of democracy and good governance at all levels in the state to sustain its fortunes.
“The party sincerely thanks the people of Benue for their continuous support to the party,” he added.
