One of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of governing Rivers State with a high level of impunity, warning that APC would not stand idly by and allow such practices to continue unchecked.

Speaking at a media briefing at the party’s secretariat on Wednesday, Okocha cited several instances where Governor Fubara allegedly acted with impunity, specifically pointing to the governor’s determination to proceed with local government council elections despite a recent court ruling against it.

Okocha vowed to take all legal steps to oppose what he described as illegal actions by Fubara.

He called on all agencies involved in the local government elections to respect the law and urged well-meaning individuals to intervene and prevent the governor from turning Rivers State into a lawless state.
