Conservative attorney George Conway on Monday slammed GOP nominee Donald Trump as a “pathological liar” and “complete, crazed, lying lunatic” who is only interested in exploiting disasters — like Hurricane Helene — for his own benefit.

The former president “only cares about whether a particular crisis can be used to manipulate the public,” Conway, a longtime critic of Trump, told an MSNBC panel discussion centered on Trump’s false claim that President Joe Biden hadn’t talked with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) about the destruction caused by the storm in Kemp’s home state.

It’s why Trump is “willing to tell lie after lie,” Conway continued.

“I mean, he’s a pathological liar. He doesn’t have that shame gene that the rest of us have when we even make the slightest mistake, even accidentally,” he said.

Trump is “impulsive” and “just going to say whatever pops into his mind that he wants people to believe at any given moment,” and contrasting Trump’s antics with Vice President Kamala Harris’ measured response to the storm is “really, really important,” Conway added.
