The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has distanced himself from the Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
Wike vowed never to support Obaseki and Ighodalo during the forthcoming governorship election.
Electorates of Edo State will file out to elect a new leader on September 21 as Obaseki bows out.
However, featuring on Channels TV Politics Today, Wike described Obaseki as an ingrate.
According to Wike: “Obaseki brought his candidate (Asue Ighodalo) to see me in my house and I told him I would not support anybody.”
Ighodalo, Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Olumide Akpata of Labour Party are the forerunners for the governorship election.
