Hon Enemona Anyebe has been elected as the Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He won with 1,632 votes.
The election, which took place during the Kogi State PDP congress held in Lokoja, on Saturday, saw a former local government chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Karaku emerging as Deputy State Chairman.
Chairman of the Kogi State PDP Congress Committee, Senator Istifanus Gyang from Plateau State, who announced the results, congratulated the newly elected members of the state executive committee following their victories at the State Congress.
He said 2,898 accredited delegates from across the 21 local government areas in Kogi state participated in the congress.
Senator Gyang commended the peaceful conduct of the elections, which were held in accordance with party rules.
He called on the newly elected state executives of the party to work hard to unite all members and ensure the party reclaimed the state in 2027.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Anyebe, thanked all the delegates for reposing their confidence in him and other elected members of the SEC.
He promised to lead the party to victory in future elections.
Anyebe pledged to unite all members of PDP in Kogi State and make the party attractive to others who are willing to join.
Other executive members elected are: Sunday Olufemi Ibrahim, State Secretary; Abdulkadir Ibrahim, Organizing Secretary; Senibi Segun, Legal Adviser; Paul Ukwenya, Financial Secretary; Umoru Tijani Aruwa, Publicity Secretary; Audu Siyaka Uhanaye, Treasurer; Jude Sulle, Auditor; Mrs Esther Soje, Women Leader; Yunusa Adazaki, Youth Leader; Hon Igagwu Haruna, State Vice Chairman (East); Hon Anthony Akuvada, State Vice Chairman (Central) and Ibrahim Taiwo, State Vice Chairman (West).
Also elected were: Emmanuel Daku, Assistant Financial Secretary; Salawu Fortune Omuya, Assistant Treasurer; Adebisi John, Assistant Youth Leader; Toluhi Michael Segun, Assistant Organizing Secretary; Ajiboye Ola Bolaji, Assistant Publicity Secretary; Olu Olusoji, Assistant State Secretary; Ajibulu Osward Olutimehin, Assistant Auditor; Comfort Omolayo Oloni, Ex-Officio; Isa Husseni, Ex-Officio; Abdulrahaman Fruq Musa, Ex-Officio; Mashud Hasiya, Ex-Officio; Ben Ugbaje Ebi, Ex-Officio; and Sule Abdulwahab Garba, Ex-Officio.
