Vice President Kamala Harris walks onto the cover of Time’s latest front page — just as President Joe Biden is walking off.
The magazine shared its new cover on Sunday after President Joe Biden announced the end of his 2024 reelection campaign and endorsed Harris as his replacement. It promptly went viral on X, formerly Twitter.
It was a follow-up to a digital cover the publication shared in June, the day after Biden’s disastrous debate performance against GOP nominee Donald Trump that set the wheels in motion for Biden’s eventual departure this weekend from the race.
That cover had Biden walking alone toward the edge of the page with a single word — “Panic” — on the opposite side.
