Steve Bannon probably isn’t thrilled that the Supreme Court rejected his last-minute bid to avoid prison ― but a lot of other people are.
Trump’s former adviser was convicted of contempt of Congress in October 2022 after he defied a subpoena by a House committee investigating the U.S. Capitol insurrection.
He has spent the last year and a half appealing the conviction, only to be thwarted at every turn before the final blow of being rejected by a conservative Supreme Court.
Bannon now has to report to prison on Monday, and many folks on social media are celebrating.
