Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has described Atiku Abubakar’s visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari as ‘trekking in the Sahara’.

Sani said that Atiku, a former Vice President, visiting Daura, Katsina State, was okay if it was for Sallah homage.

He, however, said it’s like trekking in the Sahara, if it was a political mission.

In a post on his X handle on Sunday, Sani wrote: “If the Daura visit is a sallah homage, that’s okay. If it’s a political mission, it’s like trekking in the Sahara.”

DAILY POST reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the last general election visited Buhari on Saturday at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.

Atiku was accompanied by the immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, alongside other PDP stakeholders.
