Actor Karanveer Mehra has been coming across as a strong contender on Bigg Boss Season 18. While the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 winner doesn’t hesitate to put forward his opinions, he has also been locking horns with fellow contestants. After his tiff with Avinash Mishra, Karanveer was in a spot over the weekend when host Salman Khan questioned him about his previous marriages and asked if his ex-wives had filed an FIR against him. All this began after Salman played a video of Arfeen Khan, where he called Karanveer the most aggressive contestant.
In the video from the Bigg Boss 18 grand premiere, Arfeen was seen saying that Karanveer looked competitive and that it would be easy to trigger him. Arfeen’s wife Sara Khan also referred to Karanveer as a rude contestant. Later in the video, Arfeen added, “Karanveer is going to be the biggest trouble. I think he is an aggressive person. He can be violent, maybe even to the opposite sex. He will fight anything for identity.” After playing this video, Salman asked Karanveer about his two failed marriages and asked if his ex-wives filed an FIR or any complaint against him.

While Karanveer answered no, Arfeen went on to clarify his statement and said, “Every person’s personality has two sides, one is competitive and one is destructive.” Later on in the show, Karanveer asked Arfeen what he meant and pointed out how Arfeen painted Karanveer’s picture as that of a wife-beater or woman-beater. Arfeen further explained that he meant Karanveer was capable of doing anything. “I never said you were an abusive husband. I never even knew you. I feel you have gone through a lot of pain, but you do have a violent side.”

Karanveer clarified, “In my entire being with both my ex-wives, I’ve never raised my hands on any of them. Of course, we got into arguments, bohut kuch huwa hai (a lot has happened). But aesa nahi hua ki FIR hogaya aur maine mara (But there was never an FIR registered or I had beaten them).”
In an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com, Karanveer Mehra said that he respected women a lot as he was brought up by three ladies after he lost his father at a very young age. Karanveer got married and divorced twice. His first marriage was with Devika Mehra lasted from 2009 to 2018. He then married Nidhi Seth in 2021 and they got divorced in 2023.
