Lupita Nyong’o appears to have confirmed the end of her romance with Joshua Jackson.

The “Quiet Place: Day One” actor “has eyes for no one else” besides her cat, Yoyo, according to a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.

“My love for my cat is singular. If I’m ever so lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it’ll be because of him,” she told the publication. “I was ready to shut that door and lock it and bolt it. He has ensured that my heart remains open.”

And from the sounds of it, her commitment to her pet is serious.

“My family can’t get over it,” she quipped. “My sisters are so disturbed every time I send them a picture of Yoyo. They’re like, ‘Oh, my God, our sister has been stolen.’”

Nyong’o notably did not mention Jackson by name in the interview.

She adopted Yoyo shortly after she broke up with Selema Masekela, a TV host and sports commentator, in October 2023.

Jackson and Nyong’o were first romantically linked last December, about two months after Jackson split from his wife of three years, Jodie Turner-Smith.

In March of this year, the two actors were photographed together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they held hands and shared kisses on the beach.

Turner-Smith ― who shares a 4-year-old daughter, Juno, with her ex ― expressed her support for the relationship in an interview with The Cut published in June.

“We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent,” she said. “I’m trying to get us to the Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Chris Martin level. I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family.”

Speculation that the two had called it off began ramping up last month, however, when Jackson was spotted with model Nastassja Roberts in New York.
