Former “Dancing With the Stars” professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy did not dance around his opinion of contestant Anna Delvey on Monday’s episode of TMZ’s podcast.

“She wasn’t great. She was very kind of standoffish in a lot of things,” Chmerkovskiy, who competed on the reality competition show for 15 seasons, said.

He continued: “I don’t buy this ‘She was nervous’ stuff. She’s just a shitty dancer and a personality that’s not gonna really help her in this competition.”

Chmerkovskiy said he’s not a fan of “professional liar” Delvey, who competed on Season 33 of “Dancing With the Stars.”

She was voted off the show Tuesday night.

In 2019, Delvey was found guilty for grand larceny and theft of services after she posed as a wealthy heiress and tricked banks into thinking she was wealthier than she was. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison, but was released in 2022 for good behavior. Delvey, who has to wear an ankle monitor after she overstayed her visa and was placed on house arrest, was granted special permission to compete on the show.

Her casting was met with backlash, including from Whoopi Goldberg, who slammed the decision to include Delvey.

Delvey’s dancing partner, Ezra Sosa, came to her defense. He said he found Delvey crying in the bathroom after reading online comments about her following the season’s debut.

“I’ve never seen her like that, and it broke my heart,” he said in a TikTok posted Monday.

When asked what she was going to take away from the experience after she was eliminated Tuesday night, Delvey responded, “Nothing.”
