Some disturbing remarks Sean “Diddy” Combs once made about his infamous parties emerged over the weekend, following his bombshell arrest on racketeering and sex trafficking charges on Monday.
In a 2002 interview on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” Combs offered some unsettling hosting tips when asked about the key “ingredient” to throw a “great party.”
Breaking things down for O’Brien, Combs said, “This is what you need to do. Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course.”
“We need alcohols ... some water. I don’t know if guys have noticed this, like, a lot of ladies drink water at parties, so if you don’t have what they need, they’re going to leave,” he added.
“Got to keep them there. You need locks on the doors,” he continued.
“This is sounding kind of dangerous now,” O’Brien replied.
“It’s a little kinky,” the Bad Boy Records founder admitted before speaking further.
“You need a lot of heat,” he said. “Don’t have no air conditioning. Heat affects the alcohol and it also affects, like, you know, everybody also gets a little more comfortable and loose. Builds up a nice little sweat.”
“That just sounds disgusting,” the late night host quipped.
“It depends on the way you look at it,” the rapper replied.
Combs was indicted on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges in a New York City court on Tuesday. He is accused of using his “power and prestige” for years to coerce victims into participating in sex parties, which he referred to as “freak-offs.”
The music mogul has vehemently denied the charges through his lawyers, who said Combs will be fighting with “all of his energy and all of his might” against his indictment.
On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter denied Combs’ second request for bail, saying that he is a “danger to the community” and would pose “a serious risk to the integrity” of his trial if released.
Combs will likely remain in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial.
