Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell wasn’t having it with Dave Navarro as he threw a punch at the guitarist in an explosive, chaotic ending to the rockers’ Boston concert Friday.

The iconic band’s classic lineup — which includes Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery — reunited onstage earlier this year and embarked on a tour marking their first consistent run of shows together in 14 years.

Footage captured during this week’s concert at Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion showed Navarro playing a guitar solo during the song “Ocean Size” before Farrell approached him and forcefully bumped into him.

Navarro stopped playing and tried to use his hand to keep Farrell back as the front man got in his face. Farrell then wound his arm back and swung at Navarro, seemingly connecting with the guitarist’s arm.

Multiple men — including apparent crew members and Avery — rushed in to restrain Farrell before leading him offstage.

The rest of the band then went to the front of the stage to hug, throw up peace signs and thank the crowd before exiting.

Social media users who attended the show reported Farrell shouting and tensions building prior to the performance of “Ocean Size.”

The scuffle comes after Farrell was reportedly in “rough shape” at a Tuesday show in New York City, according to a concert review on the site JamBase, with the singer telling the The Rooftop at Pier 17 crowd that there was something “wrong” with his voice.

Ahead of a subsequent show in the Big Apple on Wednesday, Avery said on Instagram that he was looking forward to “getting another crack” at the same venue.

“I’m optimistic we will be better,” he wrote.

Farrell was “in fine form” at the Wednesday gig, the JamBase review noted.

Jane’s Addiction is scheduled to perform its next show Sunday in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
