Stephen Colbert spotted an alarming new report that Donald Trump wants to arrest his perceived enemies if he wins the election ― including punishment for the late-night comics who have made fun of him.
Rolling Stone reported that the former president has been “venting about the need to punish late-night comedians for giving ‘illegal’ campaign contributions to the Democratic Party — in the form of jokes and on-air satire.”
Colbert celebrated the fact that he was mentioned by name in the article.
“Finally, I made an enemies list!” he said as his audience chanted his name. “I mean, obviously, there’s no guarantee I’ll be arrested, but it’s an honor just to be nominated.”
