“Jimmy Kimmel Live” guest host RuPaul reflected on the Lil Jon-laden “political party” of the Democratic National Convention before noting that there had been “a lot of powerful” speeches in Chicago on Tuesday.
“Barack Obama, Michelle Obama but none more powerful than the one from the Wisconsin governor, Tony Evers,” said the drag icon on Wednesday’s show.
RuPaul then tossed to a clip showing Evers stumbling through his state’s roll call as Wisconsin delegates surrounded him while donning cheeseheads.
“I am here because I’m jazzed as hell to announce that Wisconsin casts one vote present and 94 votes for, for, for, whoa, where are we at? Got me going here. Former Wisconsinite, former state, oh my god,” said Evers, who spoke over House of Pain’s “Jump Around” as it played at the DNC.
He continued, “94 votes for former Wisconsinite, vice president, and our next President of the United States of America, Kamala Ha – Harris.”
“Nailed it,” quipped RuPaul.
