Post Malone doesn’t envy Beyoncé or Taylor Swift’s level of celebrity.
During a new profile for The New York Times released last week, the “Rockstar” artist said, “I can’t even imagine being at their level. It must suck.”
“That’s so much pressure,” he added.
Malone has had the privilege of working with both superstar singers.
He worked with Beyoncé on the country-tinged song “Levii’s Jeans,” released in March, and appeared on the track “Fortnight” off Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Though the “Sunflower” singer and Swift collaborated at Malone’s home studio in Los Angeles, he told the Times he’s yet to have a chance to meet the Queen Bey IRL.
The star said “Levii’s Jeans” was delivered to his Utah compound by one of Beyoncé’s representatives and the artists hashed out creative details over text messages.
“It was terrifying,” Malone admitted.
Even still, he said he was “just honored to be in these people’s vicinity.”
Malone reflected on his own fame during an 2022 interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” where he said his rapid rise actually helped him stay anchored.
“I never really had the time to adjust to all that,” the singer explained. “I’m still me. I’ve always been me. But now people wanna hang out with me.”
