“The Daily Show” host Michael Kosta and correspondent Josh Johnson on Tuesday examined the stark differences between GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance and his Democratic counterpart Tim Walz.
Johnson talked about how presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris had chosen “the right type of white guy” as her running mate.
Kosta asked him to explain.
Walz “appeals to the older white guy who always tells the same joke to the server at Denny’s” whereas GOP nominee Donald Trump’s choice of Vance “appeals to the older white guys who say thinks like, ‘I’m not racist but…’ and then say the most racist shit you’ve ever heard,” said Johnson.
Walz “appeals to white guys who hang an American flag “while Vance appeals to white guys who hang a bunch of American flags, you know what I mean?”
Walz “appeals to white guys who call PBS to make a donation” and Vance “appeals to white guys who call Fox News to say their gold coins haven’t arrived in the mail.”
Kosta then sought to discuss the “different Black guys” before being cut off by Johnson “for your career’s sake.”
