Famous afrobeat musician, Burna Boy, has warned his fans not to involve him in the ongoing nationwide hunger protest.
DAILY POST reports that Nigerian youths on Thursday, August 1, commenced a 10-day nationwide protest against economic hardship.
Following the ongoing protests, some of his fans took to social media to call out celebrities to lend their voices to the protest.
Addressing his fans on his X handle, Burna Boy warned that no one should drag him into demonstrations, stating that the first in him died during the EndSARS protest on October 20, 2020.
While quoting a post from October 2020, he wrote; “The fight in me died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around. Even Jesus was crucified.”
The post from the 2020 protest, captured the moment protesters declined to have his songs play during their demonstration.
DAILY POST reports that singer Spyro, had earlier called for entertainment break nationwide and charged other celebrities to use their page to lend their voice.
