Famous American rapper, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, popularly known as Snoop Dogg will be carrying the Paris Olympic flame in the final stretch ahead of the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, with over 10,000 athletes on boats on the Seine River.

Before the ceremony kicks off, the rapper will carry a torch through the Paris suburb Saint-Denis, the town mayor, Mathieu Hanotin confirmed on his official X.

The mayor wrote; “Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame.”

Other carriers of the torch include French rapper MC Solaar and French actress Laetitia Casta.
