Sunny Hostin declared that it’s Joe Biden’s decision on whether he steps aside from his 2024 bid, as she blasted reports about Democrats’ private meetings discussing concerns over the president’s reelection chances.

“It seems to me that these ‘behind the scenes’ meetings that should be private are being leaked intentionally to sort of force his hand,” said “The View” co-host on Thursday.

She continued, “I think that’s disrespectful to the president, I think it’s disrespectful to the office.”

Hostin said it’s time for Biden to pass the baton and later added that Americans have a binary choice in November: an “existential threat to democracy” on one side and Biden on the other, the latter of whom has her vote.

“He has Vice President [Kamala] Harris right next to him who is ready to step into the role of president God forbid something happened to Joe Biden,” Hostin said.

“So I still think, Democrats, instead of throwing Joe Biden under the bus, need to start talking more about the Republican program which is [Project] 2025 ...”

Hostin’s remarks arrive after top party leaders ― including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) ― met with the president in the last week to discuss the concerns surrounding his candidacy among Democrats.

ABC reported Wednesday that Schumer “urged” the president to step aside on Saturday and another source told HuffPost that neither the Senate majority leader or Jeffries told the president to leave the race.

“The View” co-host Sara Haines told Hostin that she believes leading Democrats wouldn’t make conversations public if they didn’t “feel they needed that pressure campaign” to help them with decisions on Biden’s 2024 bid.
