Glen Powell’s movies are a family affair.
The “Twisters” actor, who appeared on the “Today” show Wednesday, said he thinks his parents — Glen Powell Sr. and Cyndy Powell — have been in “every single one” of his movies.
“They’ve made it in since ‘Spy Kids [3-D: Game Over],’” Powell told host Hoda Kotb.
The actor, while promoting the stand-alone sequel to 1996’s “Twister,” revealed that the new movie contains a “great sequence” featuring his parents appearing at a rodeo.
“They’re right behind Daisy Edgar-Jones and I,” said Powell as a clip of him and his “Twisters” co-star played on the show.
“You’ll be able to see them here in a second. Yeah, they’re right behind us there ... Look at that,” he said.
Powell’s parents also made a cameo in “Anyone But You” — their son’s romantic comedy with Sydney Sweeney that was released last year — where they appeared as passengers on an airplane.
The actor told Entertainment Weekly in December that his father was the “real method actor” as he was asleep in the scene while Powell struggled not to break character as Sweeney did “gymnastics” over his face.
“He’s the Daniel Day-Lewis of sleep acting. There was not a false beat in that performance,” said Powell, who said his mother delivered an “iconic look” in the scene, as well.
The two supported their son outside the “Today” show on Wednesday with his mother holding an “I changed Glen Powell’s diapers” sign while his father had a “Glen Powell is our force of nature” sign.
Powell’s parents previously brought along signs that teased their son at the premiere for his movie “Hit Man” in May.
Cyndy Powell’s sign read “Stop trying to make Glen Powell happen” while her husband’s read “It’s never gonna happen.”
The actor told “Entertainment Tonight” that his parents are “known for kind of trolling” him a bit. Powell said those signs were inspired by social media posts they had seen about him.
“I don’t read every tweet but my parents read tweets — so if you’re talking shit, know that my parents are reading those tweets,” he said.
