“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Monday called out President Joe Biden’s team for “blatant bullshit” as they tried out a wide range of explanations for his poor debate performance against Donald Trump.

They’ve said Biden had a cold, that he was out of practice, that he simply had an off-night, and that he was was jet-lagged after a trip to Europe.

“He’d been home for almost two weeks,” Stewart pointed out. “He was jet-lagged? How big is that fucking jet?”

Biden has been facing calls from within his own party to step down after his confused and muddled debate. The president’s allies have argued that Biden is already the nominee, and voters have no choice but to back him given the threat of authoritarianism under Trump.

Stewart isn’t buying it.

″‘Get On Board Or Shut The Fuck Up’ is not a particularly compelling pro-democracy bumper sticker,” he said.

But there’s one argument that Stewart really doesn’t time for, and that’s the notion that it’s too late to change candidates since there’s only four months until the election.

“Four months is for-fucking-ever,” he said, and put that timeframe into perspective.

“Britain just held an election in two months,” he said. “France had two in one month, defeated fascism, and still had time to have an affair with Denmark.”

Then he went full Jersey.

“Are you telling me ― you sons of bitches ― are you coming to my house and saying to my face that the United States of Bruce Springsteen’s America can’t hold an election better than the fucking French?” he said. “Is that what you’re telling me? It’s four months. Four months!”

He said he’s not calling for Biden to drop out, but instead wants the nation to “stress test the situation” to see what options emerge.

“Do you have any idea how thirsty Americans are for any hint of inspiration or leadership and a release from this choice of a megalomaniac and a suffocating gerontocracy,” he said. “It is crushing our fucking spirits.”

Stewart revealed a plan to turn next month’s Democratic National Convention into a true contest for the president and anyone willing to challenge him.
