Jimmy Kimmel found some alarming details in a new report that Donald Trump’s “big beautiful brain” is slipping.
Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh said he interviewed Trump six times for his new book, but the former president didn’t remember him. Trump repeated himself throughout the interviews, and claimed that comedy legend Joan Rivers voted for him in 2016.
Rivers died in 2014.
“So he’s right. dead people are voting!” Kimmel said, referring to one of Trump’s debunked claims of election fraud. “Maybe she voted with her ouija board.”
Setoodeh has said he found Trump “meandering and confusing,” and described a moment where Trump seemed to think he still had presidential powers as he excused himself from an interview by saying he had to deal with “the Afghanistan.”
“That’s gotta be his codeword for the toilet, right? I gotta make the Afghanistan,” Kimmel cracked, then offered a worrying observation.
“It’s very scary to think that the guy who was telling us to inject bleach into our veins is just now deteriorating mentally,” he said. “That would mean that when he was drawing in Sharpie on the weather maps he was fine.”
