Ryan Reynolds is making dreams come true, one TV taping at a time.
The “If” actor was spotted in the audience of “The View” on Monday, alongside a very special guest: his mom!
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg called out the actor’s attendance during the show and had him explain why he was there.
“You never know what’s going on here at ‘The View,’” Goldberg said. “Sometimes you look up and you’re like ‘Aw, this is really great!’ And then you look over you and you go ‘Oh snap! There’s Ryan Reynolds!’”
The camera cut to Reynolds, who explained that he was there with his mother, Tammy Reynolds, for a very sweet reason.
“My mom is here visiting her grandkids,” he said as the audience applauded. “And yesterday she said, ‘It’s my dream to go to ‘The View.’”
“First off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of,” he said as the hosts laughed. “Unspeakable violence, my whole life.”
Reynolds quipped that he “didn’t want to taste the back of her hand, so I said ‘Let’s go to ‘The View!’”
“We made a call, I told them ‘I’m Blake [Lively’s] husband, I’d love to come to ‘The View,’ … and here we are!” the director said.
“I think my mom might have thought she was going to be on ‘The View’ maybe, I’m not sure,” Reynolds added, as his mom jokingly shook her fist.
Tammy Reynolds said she watches the show “every day” and said it was recording at her home in Vancouver, Canada, while she was sitting in the studio.
“Mama Reynolds” certainly has lots of grandchildren to visit in New York City, where Reynolds and Lively live and “The View” is taped.
The “Deadpool” actor shares three girls with Lively: James, 9; Inez, 7; and Betty, 4. The two also welcomed a fourth child in 2023, though they’ve yet to disclose the name and sex.
