Nicola Coughlan might just be the queen of comebacks after she obliterated a troll’s backhanded compliment.
In a clip from a Q&A event in Dublin last week, the “Bridgerton” star, 37, dished out a hilarious response after someone said she was “brave” for stripping down on screen for the Netflix series, BuzzFeed reports.
“You know, it is hard because I think women with my body type — women with perfect breasts — we don’t get to see ourselves on screen enough,” Coughlan replied as the crowd roared with laughter. “And I’m very proud as a member of the perfect breast community. I hope you enjoy seeing them.”
Social media users on X (formerly Twitter) had a field day over the star’s witty clapback.
Last month, Coughlan admitted to the U.K.’s Stylist that she decided to be “very naked on camera” in several “Bridgerton” scenes to get back at trolls who made negative comments about her appearance.
“It just felt like the biggest ‘fuck you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering,” she said.
